OLD TOWN — Kimberly Hamel and Shane Rogers are happy to announce their engagement. Kim is the daughter of Bruce and Deborah Hamel of Milford. Shane is the son of Harold and Diane Rogers of Bridgeport, Conn.
Kim is a 2002 graduate of Old Town High School. She is also a 2007 graduate of the University of Maine in Orono with a degree in communication sciences and disorders, as well as a 2011 graduate of Eastern Maine Community College with a degree in medical radiography. Kim works at Eastern Maine Medical Center and Penobscot Community Health Care as a radiographer. Kim also is employed at Margarita’s Restaurant. Shane is a 2002 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School in Bridgeport, Conn. Shane is also a 2009 graduate of Husson University with a degree in sports management. He is finishing his master’s degree in business administration while he is employed at Husson University as a football coach. The couple met while Kim was cheerleading for the University of Maine and Shane was playing football for Husson University. They now reside in Old Town.
Kim and Shane are planning a June 1, 2012, wedding at Holy Family Church in Old Town with a reception at Hollywood Slots in Bangor.
