Gretchen M. Gavett, daughter of Peter and Shelley Gavett of Orono, and John P. Perotti, son of Ugo Perotti of Avondale, Ariz., and Lynn Perotti of Pittsfield, Mass., were married Nov. 10, 2012, at The Rivermill, Dover, N.H.
Gretchen, 31, is a 2000 graduate of Orono High School, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature and creative writing from Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., and a master’s degree in gender and cultural studies from Simmons College in Boston. She is an associate editor at the Harvard Business Review in Boston and is a contributing editor at Longform.org, a website of nonfiction selected online. John, 32, is a 1998 graduate of Taconic High School in Pittsfield, Mass., and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in audio/radio from Emerson College in Boston. He is technical director of NPR’s “Only A Game,” audio engineer for NPR’s “Car Talk” and is a design assistant at Klon, a company in Somerville, Mass., that builds guitar effects pedals.
Gretchen and John reside in Watertown, Mass., with their two cats, Patrick and Ramona.
