County bridal salon holds bridal runway show

On Saturday night, January 5, brides, bridesmaids, mothers, and those interested in bridal fashion flocked to the Crow’s Nest in Presque Isle, where Pancsofar’s Bridal Boutique held their second ever Night of Bridal Fashion. The event was met with so much enthusiasm from the community last year that it was held again. The evening featured wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, mothers dresses, and tuxedos. All attire was proudly displayed by over 30 local models.

When asked the reason for hosting the event, owner Courtney Wetzel said: “I believe the community needs an event like this. We want to show people that the best in bridal fashion can be found right here in the county. It gives guests an opportunity to see the gowns on real people from an objective standpoint.”

The show draws much attention because it is unique in its presentation.

“Most bridal fashion shows are held on a much smaller scale in conjunction with a bridal expo,” Wetzel said.

Pancsofar’s runway show showcased over 100 different dresses, and included a choreographed opening number as well as a surprising grand finale in which models danced to PSY’s popular hit “Gangnam Style.”

“We are proud that our runway show contributes to the social atmosphere of the County, providing a first class performance that is typical of larger cities,” Wetzel said.

The night was made possible by local vendors including The Crow’s Nest, KC & Company DJ Services, Heather from Great Beginnings Hair Boutique, Erica and Ashley from Studio Looks, and Norma Newland with Mary Kay Cosmetics.
